Yes, but you once again are assuming "tough" equates to some level of masculinity in the form of physical or mental prowess.
Stoicism philosophically is about control of self.
You can't be a stoic and starting random fistfights in a parking lot.
Stoicism is also the philosophical belief most aligned with toughness. As the second largest part of stoicism is to be able to grow stronger as to protect that which is in your care.
