>itt: we laugh at anti-aging tards
>In a 2004 BBC interview, Aubrey de Grey stated "I think the first person to live to 1,000 might be 60 already."
>More recently, in a January 2025 podcast episode titled "Is the First Person to Live to 1,000 Already Alive? Aubrey de Grey Thinks So," the host referenced de Grey's original 2004 prediction. De Grey, acknowledged that progress had been "slower than hoped" over the past 20+ years due to funding and conservatism in the field, but maintained optimism: he estimated a 50/50 chance of achieving an initial 20-year postponement of age-related decline in humans within 12–15 years from 2025

de Grey is kinda tarded and looks like Wizard Kenny the Tiger by now.

Meanwhile, I actually read PubMed and take over twice as many pills as Bryan Johnson now. Enjoy wallin while I keep getting alerts for new papers with the keywords "senoprotein" and "senolytic" and "senescence."

Anti-aging and maximizing performance usually overlap. My interests don't extend beyond this. I don't think we'll know how to significantly extend our lifespans until we have seamless real time bio monitoring tools that can allow us to monitor every conceivable aspect of our health. Making your body function better in our short lifespans is very possible rn with supplements and lifestyle choices.

yeah no the tools we have today are a scam the tools i'm referring to will replace 99% of the healthcare industry and will not be available anytime soon. nano technology will eventually allow us to monitor every conceivable aspect or our bodies. a watch may as well be a tinker toy

Bro where is all the “the first immortal person may already have been born” bullshit coming from? We are not anywhere close to it. Is this just the medical equivalent of 20 years away from flying cars?

Anon, don't be stupid. Don't you realize he's using the magic 60 number because that's bound to be the age of most potential investors?
