For unrelated reasons I have a goatee at the moment. The things to consider are: how sharp is your jawline, how dense is your growth, and how much of a chin do you have.

No they don't. It's either clean shaven, stubble, or a mustache that they like. Now given the mustache is only if you can grow a good one. If it looks like shit you're better off not doing it.

The chin strap goatee is god awful and only a pre-rendered Gordon Freeman can even approach pulling it off. Seriously, just shave the horrible straps and the soul patch and it looks incomparably better.
