I think the people who say hit doesn't work are envious of we who can push hard.
actual proof of him training to failure? most people have actually no idea what training consistently to failure is like, speaking from experience
I really started to understand it some months ago after years of training and some people I know are confused as to how I'm growing so fast
>>76737376 (OP)
People like this invariably end up being weenies who can't push through any fucking pain. If you really want to progress your workout should be seriously fucking uncomfortable, if you want to make a lot of progress in a short amount of time, it should be damn near intolerable.

Dorian Yates? >>76741157 >providing 20% more muscle.
Doubt that. Once all the muscle fibers get the growth signal, what's the advantage, burning calories?

Dorian yates trained 4-5 times a week. The training in the blood&guts vids is just a normal, perfectly reasonable training style that happens to fall more on the intensity side of the spectrum over the volume side. DYs training has no relation to the 30 mins once every 2 weeks cultist retardation that internet mentzer faggots are shilling. Same is true for every other successful lifter like jordan peters or nick walker that people claim are mentzer type HIT lifters.
Mentzerfags are tiktok internet faggots, not serious lifters.

I think I am Mentzerfag.
I lift 3 times a week, but workout is only 40 minutes each. On many exercises I do only one set, but to failure, low rep heavy weight. On some exercises I do 2-3 sets. Dynamic movements.
>>76742932 >You’re a JonesFag considering Jones supports full body training of 3X per week
But I am doing split training. Most muscles I train only once per week, some two times per week. Trained to failure. 1-3 sets.
So far I have gains on every workout.

High volume builds big but weak, bodybuilder muscles. Such muscles are full of water and glycogen, not fibers.
>>76737563 >instinctively makes the leverages worse for himself on the grind rep
positively ngmi, you lean in to shorten the lever arm with elbows more back. if this doesn't occur instinctively you may as well give up lifting
>>76742932 >You’re a JonesFag considering Jones supports full body training of 3X per week
>Platz wasn’t concerned with the number of sets. If an exercise worked well for him, he might do 10 sets or more of it. He typically didn’t even count sets. He went instead, by time, doing 20-25 minutes of favorite exercises before moving on.
No, he is high volume and crazy. I do one set, he does 10.

>>76744614 https://www.strengthlog.com/strength-training-frequency/ >But when the training volume was the same across sessions (RTEV), training three times a week didn’t provide any noticeable benefits over once a week. >On the flip side, when higher frequency meant more volume (RTUV), it resulted in greater muscle growth and greater gains in strength, showing that higher volume is a primary driver of both.

It is okay but very targeted and specialized for bodybuilders who already have overall tricep development. I have never seen a guy do dips that did not have impressive and balanced upper body development and if you can get on a dip/pull assist machine and overcome the implied admission of failure of it, you can creep into manly range of non-assist.

Nah, I was just like this fag at 16yo.
I saw almost no visible progress after a year of going all out, because I didn't adjust my diet and remained a skinny-fit twink.
