Shit my bad, I should have considered that. It probably can survive outside eventually outside if it's well established and large enough. It will need to acclimate to the winters where you are now which is a little tricky. Leaving it outside as it approaches frost is probably good in that case. Bring it in this winter and help it along with the cold at the end of this season, beginning of next. Insulation on the container for roots and wind block for the top is absolutely the right way to go when you do leave it out next winter.
As for pruning, it's not really something typically done for raspberries. It's always something that can help for upcoming growth seasons, though, if you have some time. What mean is that the plant is kind of spiky and I don't like when it's hard to get my hands in there to harvest. Think about where the plant will sit next growth season and how you'd like it to develop out. Remove small parts of leaves and stems to clear space and opportunity to grow in the way that you like. You can't force plants to grow, the goal is always to make what you want the plant to do the path of least resistance for it.
Pic rel is a quick example of one harvest shape. This was the plant's first season in my case so I went with a circular shape to get up in there real easy
