Compression clothing as an outer or only layer is never acceptable in public, man or woman. It's something you wear under proper clothing. If guys want to be fags they can wear compression shirts, but only if they aren't fat. It's always cringe.

Always seemed useless to me compared to looser fitting cotton. Anything that's tight feels like shit to move, run or lift in.

I noticed women at my gym usually do two types of outfits:
- Oversize/Loose fit sweatpants with a sports bra for upper body days.
- Booty shorts with sweatshirt/oversize t-shirt for lower body days.

Rarely do I see full slut mode on the chicks that are serious about the gym.

If they wore leggins made of something like mostly cotton i would understand the "ITS FOR COMFORT REEEEE" argument. But those pants are always bought on fucking temu or shein and they are made of the worst petroleum fibers ever. They dont even bother with actual sports wear from actual sports shops because "le unique and quirky" and they look down at each other when they see someone wearing a regular piece of clothing they say at a shop, its 300% for vanity reasons. Yea, its now a normal everyday piece of clothing. You see them dressed like unironical porn actresses eveeywhere, from preteens to actual full blown grannies, and not even to go to the gym, its just normal clothing for them. Its so tiresome. I watched some youtube reality show with the worst low class fully blown retarded specimens, most of them were obese and they all wore compression shit that was actually surprising it could hold their guts in place. Always, the same black compression leggings. High class thots wear bright colors or patterns, the disgusting fat fucks always wear the black ones.

I actually tried both. I strongly prefer skintight leggings over loose fit shorts or pants because when you're sweaty loose fit clothes don't actually slide along you skin, but keep sticking to it and it feels really uncomfortable when you squat. It's even worse when the fabric isn't stretchy enough, so you end up pulling your pants down or the movement straight up stop and if you keep pushing the fabric either deforms irreversibly or tears. Leggings just keep stretching in all directions without impeding the movement. I wear leggings / skintight shorts + big oversized tshirts.
