Straps are bad and should be illegal, punishable by law.
If you can't hold barbell or dumbbell in your hand, you shouldn't be lifting it. God/evolution didn't wanted you.
In real life when you are using muscles, you can't attach straps to your hands.

Explain me, why do you want your back stronger, for example rows or deadlift, if you will never use those muscles because your grip is too weak in real life and your back muscles will be stronger than grip?

Maybe God and evolution made grip a bit weak for a reason, maybe we are not supposed to deadlift 400lb from the ground?

You shouldn't. No reasons to have back stronger than grip, you will never use your back muscles because grip won't allow it.

Anonymous No.76748474 [Report]

Wrong.
Your deadlift is balanced. Back is as strong as hands.
If your back is stronger than hands then you cannot use that strength for anything, you can only display muscles in the mirror and masturbate to the view.

Also, if you trained single leg deadlift, there would be no problem in grip limiting you so much.

Are you a poweshitter? No? Then why do you care about forearm strength. Idc, I don't want bigger forearms, they're fine as is, so I'm using straps even with 15kg dumbbells when I'm warming up.
And if I cared about forearms being stronger and bigger, I'd train them separately instead of hitting them basically unrelated bs like deads. What you're suggesting is like training your biceps by doing lat pulls.

I care about real and functional strength. What you can do with the muscles.
> I don't want bigger forearms, they're fine as is, so I'm using straps even with 15kg dumbbells when I'm warming up.
They aren't fine if you can't hold dumbbell or barbell with your hands.
>And if I cared about forearms being stronger and bigger, I'd train them separately instead of hitting them basically unrelated bs like deads. >What you're suggesting is like training your biceps by doing lat pulls.
You are wrong, compounds are superior and they save your time. Also more functional.

Nebulous words. I'm a tradie, I do flooring and tiling, I have to carry plenty of heavy and weirdly shaped things at work. Not once have I thought to myself, oh wow, I wish I had bigger forearms.
Whenever I hear "real and functional strength", it usually comes from people who've imagined some ridiculous niche situations where they would need this "real and functional strength", like "I'm stuck in a heavy bear trap and have to open it with bare hands without any tools" or some shit, but in reality they've never even needed the strength they currently possess, let alone anything greater than that.

Bruh, no, I work out because I like a certain aesthetic. And it helps me a bit at my work, not really the lifting part, but things like knowing how to brace properly and whatnot.
But idc about imaginary situations like that, I get enough of those at work when I deal with some retarded trend chaser who bought huge tiles or slabs, although I have to carry those with someone else anyway, and it's because breaking one would cost us a fuckton.

It's just a strip of cloth as long as you're not confusing it with hooks. E.g. I started using them because my sweaty hands would spaghetti when DLing and my gym won't let you use chalk. At heavier weights my bottleneck when DLing wasn't my grip either but my bone, I'd have to stop because the bb pressing on my finger bone would hurt. Now that I use straps I can actually use my muscles (and my grip has improved)
