You can't really fully commit to a fad. People will say it's not a fad, but we all know that it is. A lot of the prominent carnivore grifters, all of which sell supplements, by the way, have reintroduced fruits and vegetables and other foods into their diet, because regardless of the fact that it causes horrendous side effects long-term, it's incredibly monotonous, and human beings are a cultural species. We like variation and flavor.
The hallmark of fad diets is extreme restriction. People who eat low-fat, vegans, low carb, or people who adhere to religious tenants of diets, will not make a big deal about having a slice of birthday cake every once in a while, or a few squares of dark chocolate, or an animal food once in a blue moon. The thing about carnivore is that it's literally an all or nothing diet, and it's a historical. Even if it were true that human beings ate mostly meat, or almost exclusively meat in the past, they didn't actively avoid plant foods. They ate whatever they could get their hands on. The math doesn't work out any way you slice it.
