a 450g tub of 0% greek yoghurt is 225 calories and 45g protein, and is vegetarian. a 160g pack of light cheese (i'm using leerdammer light for this example) is 416 calories and 48g protein, and is vegetarian. 300g of cooked lentils is 348 calories and 27g protein, and is actually vegan. 400g of peas are 336 calories and 22g protein, and is vegan. that's less than 1350 calories and just over 140g protein right there, you can cut on that and still get a decent amount of protein without even having to use whey (which is also vegetarian). either this person isn't trying very hard or they have some severe limitations regarding access to food
