need to get from 25 pushups to 35 pushups within a month. is this possible or am i screwed?

should be easy. do as many pushups in the span of an hour as you can. 3 days later, try to beat it. after a few times you should be stronger.

who can't do 35 pushups to begin with? apparently you can do 25 but need an entire month to squeak in 10 more? LOL

idk, i just don't work out a lot. that's changing, ofc, but for not doing much prior, i feel like 25 is alright. whatever

25 is a good place to start. If you're under 40 years old, getting to 35 will be doable inside a month

why the time frame? are you training for the military or something?

precisely that. luckily it looks like my ship date is getting pushed back a bit, but that's not an excuse to slack off. Hopefully I'll also be able to nail a couple of pull ups as well, but who knows? I'd rather focus on what I'm closest to at this point

If you can lose a few pounds you should, that helps immensely. I got up to 60 once by just doing 3 Sets to failure every day with a Rest Day whenever i didnt feel well (one or two days a week max)

Bang them out quickly, rest for a few minutes, go again. Sprinkle in a few sets with minimal weight on your back like plates in a rucksack. 5-10kgs will already do wonders for you when switching back to bodyweight only

I would do pushups every three days. Start each work9ut with your max. If your max last time was 25 then try your damndesr too eek out that 26 or 27. Plan on 1uping youself every time. Then do sets of 15-20 till failure. 8nce you cant hardly do 5 or 10 then do pushups on your knees. I used this method to get uo to 65 pushups in a row till i got bored.

Slow bulking while upping my reps, then cutting hard at the very end helped me

have been running. not really worried in that area, but from what i've heard, boot is like 70% cardio. Should be fun.
>>76755530
noted, much appreciated
>>76755540
haven't been able to lose much weight, kinda floating at 200 pounds. I've heard it helps though. will try to focus on that.

anyway i really appreciate yall. it's crazy how easy it is to get a response out of this site. you're the best

+16,6667% per session (or week) should be possible - you only need 2 increments to do that

you could repeat every other day (or weekly 3 or 2 times or only once):

A.) one set of AMRAP

B.) several sets of 25 (for example every 2 minutes), if you fail to do 25 then cease (that will be the baseline for set number)

- if you develop DOMS you don't need to push/punish yourself, just simply wait for it to cease (if you palpate and/or shake the loose muscle and it still hurts then it is not completely healed yet) this could happen anywhere between 2 and 10 days (the latter is severe DOMS)
- alternatively you could work it out with <33% rep sets as an active "rest"/recovery

GLHF

why do you NEED to do this exactly?

solid, thanks.
>why do you NEED to do this exactly?
because fuckass economy decided shit the bed right as i wanted to join the work force, so instead i get to join up with the military. yay.
