I've been out of the powerlifting loop for several years. what's the current meta on knee sleeves? I used to be an SBD guy but i'm hearing about so called "stiff sleeves" making a significant difference. If I suspect I may have strained my one of my lat muscle 2 days out from my meet, how fucked am I?

I was able to finish my workout when it happened (actually pulled 100lbs north of what strained me) and today feels better than yesterday. I've got OK mobility and it feels super tight but no pain unless I'm like side bending really hard or trying to twist my body to far to the right or left.

Been heat padding 4 times a day. I feel better than I did this AM so I am hopeful it will simmer down by meet time but what do y'all think?

So a lot of programs (4 day TM, 531, etc) are based on this layout

Heavy squat + deadlift assistance
Heavy bench + press assistance
Heavy deadlift + squat assistance
Heavy press + bench assistance

minor adjustments for powerlifting and other goals..

I really like squatting only twice a week and doing heavy/assistance every week for each of the main lifts. But I don't wanna drive to the gym four days a week (I want to do mon-tue-fri only because I'm away on weekends).

Would this be an appropriate way to arrange the exercises above into three days

Heavy squat + deadlift assistance + press assistance
Heavy press + bench assistance
Heavy bench + heavy deadlift + squat assistance

The wednesday short session would also be good for upper back focus.

Bench felt better, squat was not awful. About 1/3 of the way to where I want to be squat wise. Bench is pretty much there. Assault bike was good after everything. Training with good cardio is much better than training with bad cardio. I had a small calhistentics PR yesterday but I forgot what it was. A lot of things I am limited by how bad my cardio is, so every time it gets a little better, I have a bunch of small prs. I think I had a session PR for combined chin-ups and pull-ups today. Pull-ups are not useful for deadlifting.
