Basically, all the globogym brands figured out strength training has become more popular, so they’re all frantically tossing out cardio machines and replacing them with more lifting equipment. That’s why you see a lot of places putting in those half racks with the platforms attached and various plate-loaded machines. PF/LA/Crunch etc. marketing people keep current with whatever the meme of the moment is, so right now a lot of these places are getting arsenal pendulum squats (but not much else). If they have prime, etc., it’s usually one or two pieces to say they have it. Most of these brands have deals with big suppliers like matrix and give franchisees a menu of options on equipment to fill up their gyms; they’re usually pretty limited to keep costs in-line with the startup costs they quote in their disclosures.
