I have come to the same conclusion. It also fucks with collagen production. I quit for a few weeks and noticed all of my lingering joint/tendon issues seemed to improve noticeably.
Working a 9-5 without a little stim boost kind of sucks though. Trying to find the balance of only drinking a little coffee a few days a week, instead of every day.

I never have caffeine before lifting since I lift after work. I think you also get better pumps/bloodflow during the workout without stims, especially if you take a pump preworkout or some L-citrulline.
I think if you do a cost benefit analysis, stims can definitely improve strength/performance in the gym but you have a higher injury risk since you are lifting heavier, with slightly decreased recovery due to sleep interference and lower collagen production. So you should only use stims periodically then take breaks for multiple weeks to reset tolerance and recover.
