I'm saddened more than angered or disturbed by this. I can't even imagine what kind of home would raise someone to eat like this and for that to continue to haunt them the rest of their life.

I suspect he's using cocaine to keep his energy up for the streams. It's unnatural for someone to talk that much and that fast without some kind of stimulant. So his appetite is almost certainly suppressed.
