Supposedly it rapidly progresses to where you "should be" in terms of hair loss, but some people will report no losses, however that could simply mean that person's hair loss would never have gotten that bad anyway and they hopped on fin for no reason

Seems to be really individual, for some people the balding starts progressing rapidly for others the balding process starts all over again but especially if you're one of those guys that had the luck of still having a lot of velus hairs that weren't covered by scar tissue when you started it'll give the impression of slow balding.

Same. Was a fat kid in high school, lost 70 lbs during track when I was 14-15 years old. Started going bald at 16. Hopped on minoxidil topical and kept my hair till 21, got over the pseudo dandruff it gave me and my hair fell out hard so I went bald at 22. Took me a couple years to adjust but by 25 I had gotten the confidence to start regularly slaying whores again. Does make me laugh when I see my pals losing their shit over going bald in the 30s like "damn bro I'd fucking kill myself if i went bald" as I stare them dead in the eyes, dome shining in the bright california sun.

i hope this finasteride stuff works. i just started it this week. i'll give it a year and if there's no improvement then i guess i'll just have to accept being bald. shit hurts.

My dad always had terrible hair and lost it entirely in his late 30's, my brother got comments from my parents knowing it was coming in high school. I on the other hand took after my mum, and always had hair so thick my barber would almost charge me twice. Then and totally conjecture, but after covid I started thinning in the middle of my hairline. Now im 31 and writings on the wall, cause the hair is so thick, I can cover all the spots with other hair, but then I worry about getting it wet or a stiff breeze. The moment I get health insurance ill hope on Fin and Min, I have testosterone problems that usually put me between 1900 -2100 ngl, so id be happy to be less horny and rageful all the time. Failing that ill fly to fucking turkey i dont give a fuck. Some people can pull off that look, and my dad always said it ages you rapidly once it happens then you stop aging after that, but frankly im aging extremely well compared to my friends and family, and I've always kinda been a babe, so this is the male equivalent of menopause for a hot party girl, and I wont be standing for it.

Was in semi-denial about it for years and messed around with ketaconazole shampoo before finally accepting it needed more severe action and got on finasteride, did that for a year then switched to dutasteride which had been more effective. No side effects I can perceive, still getting morning wood and fucking or jacking off at least twice a day. In my 40's now.

I got to Norwood 2 after puberty, and it hasn't budged since. Every single male relative I have has kept their hairline but some did experience slow diffuse thinning after 30.

> what happens when you get off it after 20 years? instant baldness?
It blocks DHT, which declines with age. If you are over 40 your DHT levels are probably much lower than at your peak. So no, not instant baldness; at worst it comes back slowly and at best it stays the same. Unless you are taking some test boost, yeah then you will go bald. Reason for why you lose hair follicles around in your 20/30s is because you still got a lot of test, which results in a lot of DHT.
>>76797598
This trend if men starting to go bald under 25 is not normal. I really doubt it's genetic. I know chronic stress cause higher cholesterol which might accelerate the DHT thing, but still age of 16!?
>>76797621
It's very rare that it induces the phenomenon of making test. becoming estrogen and baldness is from excessive DHT.
