Snooze
How do you stop snoozing? It is so irresistible in the morning; the cold outside versus the warm snug comfort of the pre-warmed bed.

Guy said he eliminated his snoozing once and for all by just setting his alarm to exactly 7:48. I didnt get it so i asked why this would work he said: if i snoozed for just for a minute he would be too late for work.

As with any other temptation, you simply have to resist it often enough and take action before you even consider other options. That's my most important life hack: “Jump in at the deep end”, when you know it's time to do something, act before you find excuses to put it off.

Completely reset your schedul so you get your 7-8 hours AND additional snooze time. You'd got to bed at like 7-8pm.

After about a week of getting up early it becomes a routine and you just wake up early

It's dumb but it works you just have to force yourself

For me i have to get up at 6 because then i can squeeze in a gym session before work otherwise i don't get to work out, the first few days were hard but then it becomes natural and you even end up waking up a few minutes before your alarm so that you are not disrupting a rem cycle

Interesting, I did the oppsite. I set my alarm to 30 minutes earlier which allows for 3 scheduled snooze sessions, which is the maximum I can do anyways.

Setting smart light bulbs to turn on 10-15 minutes before the alarm goes off helps. Keeping the room warm with a silent oil heater also helps (sleeping naked boosts test). Keeping a book (ebook for me) by the bed and reading a few pages also helps. Obviously other sleep hygiene stuff you should be doing regardless.

I am consistently able to wake up at 4:30 AM by changing the name of my alarm on my phone to "How Badly Do you Want It?" The line of inquiry enrages me. The answer is obviously "bad enough to fight and die for it" and so the question of whether I should get up or snooze barely even comes up.

I have maintained this schedule for over a month now.

Have something/someone to care for. I have three dogs. I get up with my alarm or before it, because I need to look after them. And once I do that, might as well stay up and look after myself.
