He's sort of right. When you have kids and you're a good parent you basically have to be "on" all the time. Drinking a little on the weekends is probably ok, but getting sloshed around your kids is irresponsible.

for me literally never. I work 6-7 days a week, have kids, and Im training for a marathon. And not like shitty training either. Up at 4 am doing 4 -5 focused, hard sessions a week. Alcohol simply just doesnt fit into my lifestyle. It comes with only negatives and zero positives.

Its true. what if my kid has a medical situation and its faster for me to drive than wait for ambulance. Cant be drunk for that. Or what if someone tries to break in and I need to grab my little friend and get busy. Cant be drunk for that either. These are the things I think about a lot.

I hate getting drunk at this stage in my life (I'm 37). The hangovers take me out of commission for 2 days, and I get wicked bad diarrhea. Like, spraying the toilet bowl and my own ass with liquid fecal matter that has to be scraped off with a brush multiple times a day.

You have to base it on individual response. It's like how some people get whiskey dick and some don't even if they have good boners normally. It's does differnt things to differnt people. I have to avoid it all the time because it murders my sleep and that spirals into a whole bunch of shit. People who can sleep 8 hours without issue probably won't have that.
