I think it’s fine but a few notes
1. Mentzer did not gain his initial size by doing it
2. It really only works on machines. The type of failure he wants you to go to is dangerous for heavy free weight compounds
3. Dorian didn’t really do this by the book. What he took from mentzer essentially amounted to going from 5x a week to 4, basically adding a rest day. And this was after he had already won the Olympia once
