How many of you here quit the gym in the past few years due to price increases? I noticed a lot of regulars stopped coming at my local gym and I think it might be due to prices. There's a lot of men simply not going out anywhere anymore in the past few years, like a large number of my male friends don't participate in any activities anymore.

Is the self-improvement trend dying down? Last years for example after new years, there were very few new signups, usually the new year brings lots of newbies but last year and the year before that too (somewhat) I noticed less of them.

I can't speak for others but I stopped going to the gym because of how crowded they've become. It's also fucking gay how I can spend $30 a month/$75 annual fee to not be able to lift on machines I want because management is too Jewish to fix the broken equipment.

To answer your question I'm in the process of selling my inherited home and using that money to buy a house and make my own home gym

Have you been to a gym recently? It's filled with annoying turbo niggers crowding everything and zoomers taking tiktok videos on mic stands but yes also prices have gone up exorbitantly. Gym culture is nowhere near it was 12 years ago.

The standard doomer script is everyone is going to the gym now, they're getting 2/3/4/5 at 19 years old, and there's no hope due to all this competition, why didn't I start earlier, have to take peds, etc. Of course, whatever gets your doomerism going is fine, no judgement.

I quit going to the gym because I don't like the nightclub vibes, shitty loud music I can hear through my headphones, women constantly trying to bait me into hitting on them so they can accuse me of sexual harassment, not being able to use any equipment without a fucking argument, equipment being set up to maximize "interaction" as if I want to stare at you while I'm on a treadmill, and the general meat market social dynamics of public life.

I want a place to meditate while I exercise. I want contemplation, calmness, serene hyperfocus. I don't want to see the outline of some onlyfans whore's anal sphincter and clitoris while I'm training my heart to exhaustion.

long term the only option is home gym or quit. some kinds of older single guys can stay going to the gym but otherwise you won't have enough time to actually go to the gym to work out. older guys either work out at home, quit, or roid in which case you don't have to work out much.

When I met my husband, I immediately felt like there was something special about him. I really liked the way he spoke, how passionate he was about things, his sense of humor, how sensitive and kind he was. I also found him really cute, obviously.
We got very close, very fast. After 2-3 weeks of talking to each other and spending time together casually, I was completely obsessed with him and I could not think of anything but him. I wanted to do nothing but talk to him. If I wasn't able to, I just wanted to talk about him and how great he was.

Even before we ever went on a date, I felt such a strong connection with him, I liked him more than I ever liked anything else or anyone else. We got together quickly and I was more and more smitten every day.
We went through a lot during our first year together, it was not an easy time in my life or his. Watching him fight hard to be a better man and to make me proud made me develop such a strong sense of devotion towards him - he was trying so hard to be the man worthy of my love, and I wanted to love him more and more and support him.

I love my husband a lot. I loved him just as much when I gained nothing from loving him, and I love him more every day, when he was at his best and at his worst.
Through it all, he showed me nothing but kindness, love and patience, and I strived to showed him the same. I'm completely devoted to him, and I hope I get to feel this way for the rest of my days.

I'm a homegymcel too since covid. Easier life. Weights I've bought will always be mine. They won't break. I'll be able to pass them for someone else. To invite someone else to do a workout with men. To sell them once I won't need them. I reject Klaus Schwab. I am free

checked
maybe lots of guys realized that being a musle man is somewhat idiotic
typical gym muscles are weak and have rigid movement
maybe the gym thots repell the men
maybe it's a waste of time
t. had to carry lots of gym bros in the military (drafted)
