warmups
Do I actually have to do all these boring rituals before I can lift stuff, or do I have to do it every time?

u don't have to, but theres benefits, biggest one is less chance of injury. the older you are the more important they become.

I'm 23, can I get away with just starting with an empty bar and progressively overloading?

any start is a good start. so yes, in theory u can.

it wont get you all the way but as long as you start and build a decent workout program from there you will eventualy get to your goal.

my guess is that your skinny, so your diet is gonna be the biggest obstacle. make sure you get your calorioes and protein or nothing is goin to change.

the most important thing is starting and not stopping, as long as you do that and eat enough u will see results.

warming up is just an excuse for procrastinating just a little while longer before you start working out

How do you know you've hit your caloric surplus in a given day? Do you eat the same thing every day?
Anonymous No.76813870 [Report] >>76813992

first you find out what your surplus is (200-300+ your maintance), then you write down what & how much you eat everytime you do it untill it reaches that number.

Gotcha, how do you know how many calories are in what you eat? What if your mom cooks you a lasagna, should you not eat that?
Anonymous No.76814043 [Report] >>76814047

depends on what you have in it, my tip to you is use chatgpt. then you can just write "250g lasagna" and it gives you a estimate. it wont be exactly right but close enough.

But then I'm just using AI anyway. Might as well have a dedicated calorie tracker then, no? I'll just do as you say anyhow.

you could go both ways, do what works best for you, theres no right or wrong way, as long as the result is you get your calories & protein. how you choose to track them is up to you

Alright, I'll try your method.
