Honestly, yeah, all of my favourite UIs are grey and I'd love to see more of them. But I can live with modern light themes by turning down my monitor brightness and applying a piss filter. I can't make dark themes look good no matter what I try.

I've never heard of any verses being removed
The "removed" books are apocrypha, books that are already considered deuterocanonical in Catholicism and Orthodoxy. The difference is that Catholics and Orthodox consider them "of debatable canonicity", while protestants consider them "probably not canon but generally useful".
They are often removed from protestant Bibles but that just depends on the edition - a study Bible would almost always have them included in a separate section

Admittedly, I'm not familiar with English translations. I thought you meant various protestant denominations (i.e Lutherans) removed specific verses to better support their theology
These sound more like a result of an attempt for a more modern, easily understood version through a less formal and literal and more interpretative translation. From that standpoint the loss of certain details and nuances is the cost of accessibility, particularly to those less educated
I'm not a practicing Christian myself so I won't make the judgement if that is right or not, but it is at least understandable
Also in regards to the picture, what is it comparing the translations to? Hebrew/Greek/Aramaic originals or the author's own preferred edition (which could itself suffer from as many errors)?
