I am looking at odd ones like:

Currently using protonmail for most of my accounts, but dont want them to have everything on me. Tutanota was cool until I realized their inactivity period is 6 months and now my accounts are deleted and can't remake them due to TOS policy. I am forced to purchase a payed account to unlock my free accounts and I dont like that.

So... any experience with skiff mail (now purchased by Norton) and disroot?
Any other unknown but safe and secure providers?

i use both proton and tuta but i'm thinking of just saying fuck it and hosting my own + using gmail for shit i don't care about. it's less about privacy and more of a "does this email service have an uptime of 99%?" thing.

self hosting email doesn't work. just spend some of your crypto stash on proton.
