just use 11 24h2 home/pro like everyone else. quit being a fucking special snowflake, retard. w11 is literally better than w10, file explorer finally has tabs and most applications like task manager, notepad, paint, calculator, snipping tool, photos got better. It also has better performance in games on newer hardware. Quit being a contrarian retard, suck it up, admit you were wrong, and move on.

the anger in your tone reveals all I need to know about windows 11. Yes, windows ten sucks, which means that windows 11 will suck even more. Such is the way of Microsoft. The numbers are degrees of suckiness.

not really, since 21st century windows versions always went like this, one good, one bad

Windows XP (GOOD)
Windows Vista (Bad)
Windows 7 (GOOD)
Windows 8 (Bad)
Windows 8.1 (Good)
Windows 10 (Bad)
Windows 11 (Good)

etc you get the point, but even if you are a subhuman animal that cant appreciate w11 sensibilities and aesthetics, and somehow unironically enjoy metro ui you are still cucked by the fact that once ESR support ends in 2028 practically no new software will work without glitchy workarounds or at all. have fun retard

Never really understood the point of sticking with 10. It's not like default Win 10 is a usable system either. Both will require removing/disabling/blocking damn near every feature you can either way, and once that is done it's more or less the same.

Get rid of the Copilot/Cortana/Xbox/OneDrive/Store/Edge/Teams//Skype/whatever cancer they keep piling on every new release and you will find each new Windows version is basically just Win 7 with a new theme and some additional bloat.

The only issue I've run into so far is that SDL detection for controller is having some issues with melonDS and mGBA. Steam and other apps can read the controller just fine, even the SDL2 Gamepad Tool reads it just fine. But specifically those 2 apps only read the two trigger buttons and none of the others

Not sure if this is because of a missing dependency that is normally installed on the non LTSC or something else. when looking it up on the forums some other folks ran into the trouble as well but nobody had posted an answer as to how they fixed it. tried development builds and running newest versions but nothing allowed it to read more than "Trigger 7" and "Trigger 8"

Agreed windows 10's UX was shit. I only suffered through it with classic shell and went to 11 when I realized the start menu and UX was much improved.

The last actually good windows was 7, even 10 was a massive downgrade and is only being fondly looked after because 11 is shit too.
Honestly if you can stomach Windows 10 you can handle Windows 11, there are improvements here and there but overall is worse, however nothing too drastic if you have been slowly boiled for years under W10.

Any talk of LTSC or IoT or "modified" bootleg windows versions is pure COPE, either accept the POZZ or move to Linux.

a comprehensive list of things linux is not compatible with, compiled from various fa/g/s the last million times this was asked
>fortnite and other cancer with a rootkit ““anticheat”” (because the devs intentionally break compatibility)
>photoshop and other adobe slop (because the devs intentionally break compatibility)
>autocad software (presumably because the devs intentionally break compatibility, but also why are you using this on a computer your employer didn’t give you?)
>random japanese games (because they barely know what linux is and use really random obscure parts of the win32 api that wine hasn’t gotten around to implementing yet in addition to locale fuckery)
If you don’t use these, literally nothing will change and you have the bonus of being able to decide when to install updates yourself without jumping through a million hoops that some jeetware might just undo anyways

the only way to do it is for adobe to either remove the stuff that specifically doesn’t work on linux or open source their garbage so you can do it for them. Either way the “you can now play as Luigi” game mode is probably the only way to make that happen in reality
