It is just the noise of ass-pained Nvidiot poor-fags. They are crying and seething that AMD RTG is refusing to do hemorrhaging price wars to force Nvidia's hand.
>>105576593
>bad at AI
Not really, also a non-factor for vast majority of graphics card
>bad at RT
Everybody sucks at RT, it is simply too taxing. Gayming-tier RT is shitty copium. RT still should remain in the professional graphics world.
>bad at upscaling
Upscaling is 100% copium and ass. "PCMR-types" used to rail on "console pleasants" for being hard-stuck on upscaling. Until Nvidia was forced to resort it for their shitty RT gayming implementation.

driver fixes often take way too long. Nvidia will fix even niche bugs fairly quickly (at least they used to)

frankly amd's biggest mistake was RDNA( thanks raja), despite the improvements, the biggest loss was their driver stability, after 10 years on gcn , they had managed to have pretty darn stable drivers, rdna1 comes along and it was all wiped out, the 5700xt is by far the buggiest amd card in a long time, probably worse than the r600 on launch day, even rdna4 which is much better, is still unstable for many applications. on top of that , amd struggles to sell these cards for workstation because they didn't have ROCM support until the last year or so, and many rdna cards still don't work out of the box, its a certified nightmare.

Azor's an asshole.
Su's a sycophant for her cousin.
They're compromised and have been trying to emulate nvidia too much over the last few years.
Every piece of goodwill they've built up over the last decade will be chipped away at systematically, remember everything good you've heard about their software, tools or even bios editing & undervolting and take it with a grain of salt knowing that it will be taken away.
They're the same as nvidia. The only reason I have their card right now, and will say I fell for the memes: I don't get the choice to stay on windows and James Jones deserves to be systematically removed from our solar system. Strapped to a rocket and launched beyond ultima thule.

Shitty software is AMD's biggest problem.
Completely unironically, AMD should purge all of their software teams and poach as many mesa/wine/llvm people as they can. They should have had seamless CUDA interop 10 years ago at latest.

Nah, RDNA1's issues were from hardware bugs that AMD didn't caught until it long after it had taped-out and units were in production. AMD were far too aggressive on power saving. RDNA1 silicon were shitting themselves during low utilization after coming back from high utilization (a.k.a closing out a game). The black screens are common symptom of a bad undervolt or overclocking when the silicon isn't getting enough juice to keep stable. AMD tried to patch it with software updates but software can only do much to address hardware bugs. They fixed this with RDNA2 which never had the issues.

They don't. It just doesn't make sense to buy one unless you're on Linux, want raw performance over features, or are on a budget. Nvidia GPUs have more features, better support, ecosystem, and drivers that helps you cope with the price. I'd never buy a $1,000+ AMD GPU. Under $600? I'd probably go AMD. Ideally Intel but I'm not sure about Arc yet.

Think about how easy it would be for nvidia to gain even more market share if they'd have the balls to fire James Jones.
They could have a working linux driver that's functional and compatible with software that matters without breaking every other release and all they realistically need to do is fund that same driver team for 4 years and show what it was they stole during the Pascal era and have plausible deniability.
Yes, unfortunately people on older cards would be poised to stay with their current GPUs as they would now just werk in linux, but their old cards would also still be VRAM timebombs so they'd win on both fronts.
>It just doesn't make sense to buy one unless you're on Linux.
If you remove this as the reason to buy an AMD card then the last two really don't matter, since AMD are also leaving the budget segment of the market slowly too with fake MSRPs. Yes, the 9060 XT is around the perform of a 5060 Ti but once those price increases kick in, they'll be neck and neck.

Literally all Huang has to do is find the Puerto Rican menace and hand him a cardboard box for his things and he can have the linux desktop marketshare in 4-6 years. It's a sound investment and it would cost him less than it did to pay for that Floridian dinner.

Bullshit, nvidia has a loyal fan base of people that probably at some point got burned by cheaping out and buying AMD at some point. It would be naive or disingenuous to say that they've stopped using methods like that.
That's not to say paid Nvidia shills are the main reason for why people shit on AMD, but they certainly help in swaying people's opinions. And there's likely some people employed on AMD's side too, they just haven't as blatant as the Nvidia Focus Group.

the major problem with AMD is not hardware, it's software.

also AMD could get NVIDIA by doing what NVIDIA doesn't want to do, but instead, some AMD executive said that there's no use for a card with more than 8GB for consumers. what you get from it? AMD wants to be NVIDIA, and that's it.

oh the drama.
Shut up faggot. Nobody is forcing you to buy anything. People can spend however they wish without some dumb jumped up cunt trying to decide for them.
Go back to playing games on a console or iGPU see if anyone gives a fuck

>it's a fucking cartel and neither company is deserving of any of our money
Correct.
The only reason that you can't escape them currently if you're actually looking for an upgrade is:
B580 is only 12GB. 24GB B60 is workstation only, off in the future. Equivalent to the x80 of Turing with a slight VRAM upgrade is in essence a sidegrade for people who waited 3-4 GPU gens to upgrade.
Chinese GPUs aren't there yet.

There's a vacuum for people who want away from both nvidia & AMD. Intel can offer you it on Linux if you're willing to travel back in time to 2018 but that's not going to leave you happy with 4k60 on NieR Automata. However if you want something modern you're forced to look at AMD who are going to fuck you over, or Nvidia who will fuck you over buy you'll be cool.

Intel don't even have to be too scrappy either since the x70 class of cards is unobtanium, bad vlue of nerfed to shit and back.
The x60 XT/Ti 16GB class of cards is only 125-140% better at best, so all it says is they couldn't compete on performance per dollar against the blackwell x60 Ti which is already in the fucking gutter or they thought they'd get BTFO.
Yet there's this massive performance gap between something like the RDNA 4 x60 XT & x70 that shows how screwed the market is and how any third party fitting into that space could have pulled ahead.
