There data collection practices make it, so they know everything about you. 4Chan is infinitely better. No signups and there are threads you can post on so long as you can prove you are not a Russian bot.

This argument won't work on users of Reddit. They don't actually think their data is worth protecting.

Are you implying Russian bots CAN'T post here? Because I assure you this place is every bit as bad as Reddit and X in that regard - who do you think the 4chan pass is for?

You know what I will write it:

So like 3 weeks ago I had a based moment and started talking trash to troons on reddit and got banned, then using different accounts on 1 IP address I played a game of testing how their system works, but essentially ban-evading with different accounts on 1 IP and being very toxic to their jannies: literally I get banned and I reply to the janni with "sneed", "niggger", "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78UrpAuWTys " _ I needed to know that on the different accounts I WILL for sure be banned.

I was even going to write here about what I was doing and ask if it will work... but its useless: I know that /g/ is of very little help so if I have a theory, I must do all the work on my own.

and oh boy: it worked like a charm: because the IP address is linked to an account + user agent + cookies +local storage, but the last 3 you will delete so the link that matters is the IP + account, Reddit is in fact a very vulnerable social media: the moment an account is banned, it is essentially infected with Covid and if you switch IP address you infect it, then all account linked to the new IP address get infected too.

It just works. I was able to get one of my account list of a email + pass and ban any IP address + accounts linked to it. It just works.

My problem is that after the experimentation phase I did nto want or have access to really good IP account to perma bann: for example I would, if I could just go to a uni and nuke all the redditors there just by logging in, but right now i am not a student. There are some other places where nuking reddit would be fun: imaging living in California and nuking reddit there.

I have a list of infected account that I can share, but really making infected accounts is too easy for me to bother: just go and say something bad about a protected group and you now have a nuke.

Yeah I know I should go bACK, but I have been using Reddit since maybe 2013, 4chan around 2011, and twitter since 2009.

Reddit legitimately the worst out of the three, the voting system just becomes a giant circlejerk, echo chambers everywhere and the moderation is WAY to heavy handed. At least on twitter and 4chin you can have somewhat productive conversations in between calling each other grannies or whatever. Which sucks because there are some communities that only have subreddits and no other presence.

/g/ is dogshit though outside of a handful of generals.

>Reddit legitimately the worst out of the three,
it is by far the worst shithole after /g/. no matter what i say i end up causing redditors to have a mental breakdown because redditors think you need to agree with everyone and suck on each others dicks
> the voting system just becomes a giant circlejerk
it's used by failures that can't defend their garbage opinions or defend their schizo rants. when i used the site, downvotes feed me because it only confirms that i have won and they lost, and they fucking hate it when people don't participate in this furious circle jerk. various moderators can't deal with me and let me go because they know they have as much wit as a wet bag of flour. never forget that most of humanity is full to the brim of knuckle dragging, drooling retards and compulsive liars so deprived of attention that they will write anything on the internet and hope to god nobody points out their lies and utter trash.

Yeah, it’s weird. Things like Diaspora and Mastodon are hopelessly leftist when you’d expect them to be right-leaning. The friend I was talking to was a VR developer so he had a vested interest in people using VR. It annoyed him that so many people like me refused to even consider Meta Quest.

sometimes we go there to troll. redditors however, are very much barricaded from the rest of the world and the internet. I have personally written PRAW based bots and direct "just mimic a human" bots that post a reply by interacting with the DOM. It is very easy for someone with a few IP addresses to essentially trick redditors into supporting anything. They do not even have a clue about shit like "same fagging", setting a post so that the 2nd or 3rd replies that are premade are the kicker and so on that are all common tactic to give an illusion of conversation and reaching a conclusion.
Redditors in their nature are women and just like women, they will first want to see what the popular sentiment is, which side in a conflict does the power structure ( alpha male, government, tribal leader ) support and after they know what the right side to support is, they will defend it to their death. that "1800" upvotes number next to the post basically means how much you must agree with the post.

NTA but if you're referring to the post setups it goes like this:

first comment: usually a loaded question of which the answer would be damaging to whatever they are attacking (this person is in on it)
first reply: the damaging statement (ie. because of (insert group) they are total idiots)
second reply: drives the first reply into the sand (ie. I should have seen it coming, since it's (insert group)

most people don't understand all 3 comments are either the same person, or people collaborating on discord and other channels.
most people will also read it and think that's the general consensus in real life.
it happened a ton in the conspiracy subreddit about 6 months ago, maybe still but haven't checked.
if you sort by date it's just non-stop political setups in the comment section.
even on completely non-political posts, they'll turn it political

so we think alike. nice. Also this is a vulnerability that one day can make things for reddit bad. If someone was to spend a lot of money of acquiring a lot of different residential VPNs he could destroy reddit : a lot of residential VPNs are actually hacked IoT devices with install VPN after a hacker has pwned the device. There are blackhat websites that do sell a lot of residential VPNs meaning that hacking devices to turn them into a VPN is not a new idea - it is probably 10-20 years old. if one was to just abuse this already hacked device botnets, he could log with one account or a group of hacked account into all of those botnets and ban the IP addresses. Then he could cycle the IP addresses from the ISP and do the same. I will not posts links, but for a few hundred dollars, one can ban millions of IP addresses from accessing Reddit.

basically this, but you need a lot of accounts to do it well. you can have a few accounts on 1 ip address and creating an account takes like 30 secs with temp gmail address, so you can do some funky stuff, but never post with the same account combo

A lot of those residential VPN services are based on malware hidden in common applications. One example I can give you is the CCCP (codec pack) for Windows. Whomever obtained the domain name and is distroing it these days bundles in some kind of malware that only serves to be a proxy server for anyone that gives the company some money. They have a massive botnet that they're selling access to legally. Since idiots can't figure out things like ffmpeg/mpv and video just werks if you install that malware there are tons of compromised systems behind broadband connections to use. Of course routing through shit like Nest thermostats and Ring cameras is a great idea too. But some fag's gayming PC is much better. They don't notice the traffic or that their ping is going to shit because of the malware. The malware also automatically busts right through their NAT.

One idea I've had is to write a piece of malware that spams keywords the NSA hunts for in communications. Which would effectively make all the glow nigger tools useless if you could obtain enough installations on Windows and Apple computers.

the problem is not that it is not real, the problem is that someone with money, autism and time must do it. ( and tech skills as what I am proposing and saying is possible is borderline illegal so you must, yourself be behind 7 VPNs and in Russia ) As I am neither of those I just basically speculate and have done nothing. A day may come when an assblasted russian son of a millionaire is so angry at reddit, he destroys it. Sadly I am not russian, assblasted or a son of a millionaire.

its hard to notice traffic on Windows because there are like 2000 services running, some of them sending packets somewhere, some to Microsoft, some to update servers, some for telemetry.... Once upon of time the shit on PC was so small and clean that you knew a rough number of services and processes you had running in the background and even their names in some cases. a " Runtime Broker", "Service Host: Application Information" and other bullshit that I have no fucking clue what they do is a new Microsoft invention. You can hide 100 VPNs on an average PC and for as long as it is not laggy noone will notice.
Thanks Microsoft.

Weaponized moderation is a trick older than old /b/. Although old /b/ certainly took full advantage of it back in the days of popular forums. It serves two funny purposes:

1) It shits up the forum
2) It makes the mods so paranoid that they start banning legit users

A lot of forums have been ruined from the combination of the two things above. The problem with the last decade or so is this weapon has been turned around back on to us. So now there is really nowhere that's safe. It's also impossible to start anything new that might become popular. Since it gets flooded with bots and people doing this the moment you get more than 10 real active users.

Most people don't notice when they're surrounded by bots. They take the posts made on face value because they're too dumb to investigate the website they're using and they want to hear their own opinions fed back to them. They'll take a mirror of bots that agree with them over 5 real users that don't any day of the week.

You'd be surprised just how many IP ranges within first world countries are already range banned. For example, the last time I switched ISPs to get fiber the entire ISP was range banned here. The company obtained two blocks of IP addresses that had previously been used for some kind of shilling operation. So none of their customers could access most of the popular social media sites on the internet. I had to manually go around to a bunch of places (including this one) to notify the admins that multiple states of fiber customers were range banned. It took weeks before the bans started being lifted. One admin told me he'd had this ISPs IP range banned for over 15 years.

That's all it takes. One determined autistic faggot with enough IPs within the same range. This is the same reason why most public VPNs, proxy serves and all the tor nodes are banned too of course. The web is basically useless now unless you're willing to hand over dox to play.
