After owning a 2018 iPad Pro 11 for 7 years I recently sniped a good deal on a 2022 M2 iPad Pro 12.9. I've always held the belief that 11" was the perfect form factor a tablet/media consumption device, and that a 13" tablet would simply be too unwieldly. After a decent amount of time on the 12.9 I have to admit that I was fucking wrong. When lounging on bed and shitposting or reading manga, the 12.9 is NOT noticably heavier nor is it clumsier or more awkward to use. Infact, the additional screen space and clarity it provides is most welcome. The M2 Pro I picked up also came with the Magic Keyboard which was nice, as it's super premium. Using it feels just like using my Macbook. The fit is so right, i honestly I can't imagine using the Magic Keyboard on a smaller form factor. The only downside about this whole situation, as I see it, is going forward I will now need to shell out EXTRA when buying future iPad Pro upgrades as I definitely won't be going back to 11".

Over the trays of pending my 11” I gradually moved away from typing using two thumbs to just using Apple’s version of swipe (pretty much exclusively).

I got a free 9th gen ipad that I'm selling because you can't do shit on it without an apple account.
My samsung tablet works perfectly fine flashed with lineage GSI and I don't have to deal with that stupid lightning port either.

The 13-inch iPads are great for reading manga. It's basically exactly the same size as physical manga releases with double spreads.

I used just about every version of the 12.9 Pro's from 2015-2022, but Apple silicon really broke that habit and I got a white collar job so now I use 14" MBP for work and 11" M4 Pro+Magic Keybaord for all personal on-the-go stuff. It was really lovely before iPadOS 26, but now, even with the beta, it's just the perfect little 11" convertible MacBook Air I've always wanted.

Yeah, it works great. How cost-effective it is will depend on how much money you have, but to be able to organize your notes however, view from whatever device, not have them take physical space, not get coffee stains, get lost, etc. is really nice. Which counts for nothing if actually writing with it sucks.
Might as well get the thing that can do other stuff, too. I don’t usually do real work away from the desk, but sometimes I do and it is nice to have a second monitor.

My issue with 13' despite it being better at 99% of things... is the 1% I care about, which is using a telescopic controller to turn it into a handheld, 11' is already hard to find compatible controllers, but 13'? I'm not aware of any, and even if they are, for a handheld it'd feel too big, while 11' is still doable since it feels only a bit bigger than something like a Steam Deck.
