to become a yescoder, should i start by reading a programming fundamentals book or should i just go head in and read the c programming language
or phrased differently: would the latter approach be a bad idea and leave gaps in my knowledge or is the first approach pointless since i'll learn it anyway from the latter?

learn by doing not reading. just take up a project, write until you don't know what to do, then read how tf to fix it
