I use a single 32" 4K monitor, which is effectively 4 1080p monitors with no bezels between the screens. Ultrawide is a retarded meme.

Two 27-inch 1440p monitors for my personal setup. Single 16-inch laptop monitor for work.

Same. Having multiple monitors is a meme but I'm not entirely opposed to upgrading to an ultrawide monitor.

I have a 27" 1080p and a 32" 4k. 27" is too small for games

No, I have a 42" 4k monitor for youtube, tv, movies, etc. And a 27" 1440p on the side for gaming.

You can fit lots and lots of little windows on a 4K monitor. Besides, you don't need to have everything visible all at once.

I'd prefer to have a single ultra-wide over two monitors, but it's easier to window manage with two separate windows. You can just set a game to be borderless on one monitor and have a browser on the second monitor. Some UI elements like the macOS menu bar are also kinda shit with an ultrawide.

Dual monitors made more sense back when 4:3 was standard. Try that with 16:9 monitors and you end up with something that's too wide. A single 21:9 ultrawide fits perfectly in your field of view and doesn't need any head-turning.

Are you too brain damaged to learn tiling shortcuts and gestures, and incapable of spending 2 seconds to resize a window manually? I guess if you only know how to maximize windows, multiple monitors is definitely for you.

Please define "actual work". Like yeah, this is my home PC and I've never made any money on it, but I do hobby stuff on it too and not just media and game consumption.

2 feels uneven. One in the middle you look at and one off to the side. Or, having a bezel split in the middle and two screens off to the side.
I prefer 1 or 3. Anything more than that gets weird.
Ideally though, I prefer the 3 + 1 set up, where it's three monitors, plus 1 TV/Monitor above those three, but is connected to a different device.

55" 4k here. It's good if you're at least 3ft away from it. I have it mounted on the wall behind my desk.

What could you possibly want to see at the very far ends of that vertical monitor? Why isn't it just a 16:9 turned 90° or something?

Does someone know a brand that sells well-made 3:2 2k 75-165hz monitors?

Benq does but they are too expensive.

Yes I have, and I would've bought it if I had any choice. There's no such thing as a 16:10 4K display outside of portable monitors and certain laptops.
