can you tell me how /vt/'s Neuro-sama thead has a better (and more succinct) introduction guide for Machine Learning than the fucking board about technology?

Why?

Look at your image.
Now look at the quality of this board.
/g/ijutsu dropped off after mobile phone posting became popular, and quickly got flooded with low-intellectual pseuds and r*ddit normies. Then the coomers and shitposters followed, because retards find fellowship with other retards.
Now there's nothing left to appreciate and you're contributing to the problem. Following posts being anime make sense, it is an anime board, or if the OP image is anime related to technology, it makes sense - like Lain, which is signature. But instead you picked a totally random, arbitrary non-technology related image in the hopes to get a few (You)'s.
Now everyone else does it too.
You won't care, you won't learn, you won't change, so neither will the board.
All of the hackermen have moved on to other places and left this town of idiots.

I don't get it. I checked it >>>/vt/101175392 .
The OP has:
1. alphago documentary
2. bluebrown ai video, btw he already said these videos are entertainment, you learn from actual books
3. picture list of pop-sci books
4. garbage learning guide
Which one is the "better (and more succinct) introduction guide for Machine Learning"?

>then read some introductory books about machine learning

how is it garbage? Telling people to learn math is garbage now?

Yes, just randomly putting covers of meme'd books doesn't make it a good learning guide. Also doesn't make it "a better (and more succinct) introduction guide for Machine Learning than the fucking board about technology".
/g/ is dead.

Because any sites/forum/whatever that claims to be dedicated to technology usually is the worst place to discuss technology. Just look at /g/. Even when ignoring the bots and xwitter screenshart threads this board is mostly just luddites screeching at anything, new or old.

Basically nobody talks about technology on /g/, especially not machine learning. It is really weird. There entire board is full of AIslop generals, but there are ZERO machine learning threads.

There were machine learning threads. Almost literally every single advancement in terms of being able to run models yourself came from those threads. Then we got flooded by the usual subhumans only interested in glorified eceleb drama which quickly killed those threads off. Guess it could be worse, we could have gotten banned like the only other general in years that actually contributed to developing tech, /cumg/.

I remember someone wanted to discuss creating a machine learning model. For the basics, he used guides like how to use tf, keras, pt for introduction to someone new, but no one responded to his thread

I don't mean methods of generating AI slop but training your own models with Pytorch and stuff.
>>105596418
Yeah I think I remember that too. If it's not the same 0 effort stock threads (most of which are just shitposting), the thread isn't surviving more than like 2 hours. Even when you have a general around a topic that's supposed to be able programming, you have to keep bumping it to even keep it alive, and then it will die anyway.

I am OP, to be fair, the default knowledge to get understanding BASICS of Machine Learning, are too high, or at least, it's a lot of shit you need to understand BEFORE wanting to learn Machine Learning.

I am not saying that /g/anons aren't smart. There are smart people here that keep a low profile but maybe they just want to chill or they are simply not interested in the field. It's a young field, and programming is more "popular" field in 4chan and other imageboards.

Programming and anime go hand by hand, at least in the west.
