It's the idea that processors double in performance in a given time interval. I don't remember what time frame was given for that though.

It wasn't so much a law in the scientific sense but more said as a joke that it was like a law.
Anyways, Gordon Moore wrote an article about how the transistor size on integrated circuits were shrinking exponentially each year.
I feel like I want to make a loli joke out of that but I don't know how to.
