Does anyone have images comparing the different samplers? Samplers have nothing to do with how the model was trained for what I've seen, I mostly see Euler a and DPM++. So they are just different ways of generating an image?

I think a good way to put it might be that euler_a is best for 2D and dpm++ is best for realism.
Although I try to make euler_a work for realistic porn as well (I have a ton of other settings that try to make the image more realistic), because euler_a produces really good 1girl compositions. I've done comparisons and its compositions always beat everything else's (at 30 or 32 steps).

Comparison is difficult because different models/finetunes/merges react to different samplers in different ways depending on how they were trained. It's always best to test it yourself with an xy plot. It'll take awhile on bigger models like flux/chroma, but it's worth it imo.

after some testing; nag_scale is how much it applies nag, 1 is the default, don't raise it too much or it breaks.
there is still a cfg option in the sampler. i would leave it at 5 or something.
i'm not sure what nag_tau and nag_alpha do but 2.5/0.25 are the respective default values for flux.

nta, but without tile controlnet, you're restricted to like 0.3 to 0.4 denoise or the composition changes too much from the original. With a tile controlnet, you can bump it up to 0.6 or 0.7 denoise, meaning a lot more detail without radical changes top the composition. It's always better, but you need a controlnet trained on the model, so for models that don't have it, like chroma, you're stuck using low denoise

It depends on the model loader, some scan the checkpoints dir, others do the diffusion one. If you tried putting it in both, refreshing comfy, and the option isn't showing, you're either trying to load a gguf checkpoint with a loader that only takes safetensors (or vice versa) or you fucked your comfy install somehow

There are two main things you need First, subgraphs; they're coming very soon, meanwhile I use group nodes which do the same thing in a jankier way. Supposedly group nodes will be automatically converted to subgraphs when they are released. The second thing you need is wireless connections. I mostly use cg-use-anywhere but some people also use Kijai's set/get nodes. They have spotty compatibility with group nodes.)

I am used and fluid to the A1111 way of working. I hardly touch the sliders once I found a setting that works. I might swap models, samplers on the run, that's about it. Two pulldowns.
I might click a Lora and have it added to the prompt. Back in prompt field I might increase / decrease weights.
And when I like a txt2img gen, I hit hires fix or img2img to refine details and get a better quality out of it.
Occasionally I would checkmark CN or Regional/Couple if I am up to that gen. But 95% of my time I am in the prompt and on the genned image, which I want prominent on the screen and I don't want to see anything else.

My first pass steps outputs its image into my upscale (hiresfix) step. My upscale step is bypassed by default (rgthree fast group bypasser or CTRL+B), if I want to upscale a base gen I unbypass it. The first pass will be cached if it's the latest job that was ran.

I right click the image in the "Save Image" node, then click my i2i/inpaint's "Load Image" node and hit CTRL+V. Not as convenient as A1111, admittedly.

"Apply ControlNet" takes conditioning and returns conditioning, so you should be able to simply bypass this node when you don't want to use ControlNet.
I forgot what the beta built-in regional prompting nodes are called so I can only speak for A8R8's nodes. The "Attention Couple" node takes a model and returns a new model so you also should be able ot simply bypass it when you don't want to use regional prompting.

My own setup in practice has a little more weird logic to it but fundamentally this is all you need, I think.

And then still you have the issue that Loras need another node again. You need to load it, connect it, put load Lora into it, adjust weights, edit prompt with trigger words...
On A1111/Forge all that is just 1 click from the Lora tab.

FusionX is a shitmix of the regular model with causvid merged in https://civitai.com/models/1585622?modelVersionId=1794316 and it's definitely merged in at weird strength because it keeps significantly changing the face in i2v in the first few frames. I have it in the same workflow, fundamentally the only difference between text2img and img2img is text2img uses "Empty Latent Image" and img2img uses "Load Image" + "VAE Encode". I don't really "download" the image, rather I copy it to clipboard as I said.

I recommend rgthree's power lora loader, one node for all loras. Not sure what the best way to auto-insert the lora keyword is, although rgthree power lora loader does have a meh feature to at least let you copy it to clipboard.
