just buy anything ryzen.
the only issue with those that they might be loud.
other than that they are faster or just as fast as apple chips.

You don't need linux, macOS is Unix that just works. Also, you won't get better bang for your bucks than the cheapest m4 mini.

just buy an x86 box for linux, on M-macs you're gonna have some bad time running linux on it and whats the point. or buy mini and run linux in virtual machine - works like a charm.

nigger. it runs on a weird phone processor that is not fully supported by everyone.
you have to pay and buy subscriptions for everything
it changes every year and you are forced to upgrade.
In last 5 years mac os never got better only worse. They keep removing useful features from it every year.

I can go on forever.

no there is one poorly working linux called asahi that is almost dead by now.
and it's ubuntu fork that is nowhere close to be stable.

those have a lot of issues including terrible battery time for whatever reason

Linux is shit and just doesn't work in anything besides server.
Native macOS just works. I provided video, how smooth the experience on macOS truly is, even on $400 ARM.

Soldered unified ram is faster than regular one. Also, storage was never an issue, if you really care about storage you buy external NAS.

Do what I did and get the Macmini8,1 and put Arch on it. There's little support for the silicons for now. I mean it exists, but don't bother.

>weird phone processor that is not fully supported by everyone
proprietary, valid concern
>you have to pay and buy subscriptions for everything
false, stay out of the App Store it’s retarded
>it changes every year and you are forced to upgrade
so does everybody else’s OS but mac won’t force you to upgrade unlike winblows or non-LTS Linux distros
>In last 5 years mac os never got better only worse
Arguable, they’ve focused more on the ARM transition and unifying macOS/iOS than doing any real software innovation. Given how nice the M chips are I’ll give them a pass for now, but they better pick up the pace post-Tahoe
>They keep removing useful features from it every year
Name one. Rosetta doesn’t count, that was always a limited time offer.

nigger I used mac for more than a decade.

they removed and cucked apple server and disk utility for example.
those are big ones from the top of my head but there are hundreds of examples like that. Even in their latest os they again removed a few things.

also ram speed does not matter in modern tasks.
also you have to share that ram with your vram.

YOU FUCKING HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHIGN STUPID NIGGER.
I spent 800$ a year on stupid updates.

basic shit like little snitch, keybouard maestro or pathfinder

those chips are nothing special they are not better than ryzen chips without being idiotically cucked.
your screen above proves that.

Imaging being so fucking retarded you spend $800/yr on “““updates””” instead of finding a free alternative. I’ll give you they cucked the server utils and disk utility tho

nigger I was writing apps for macs.
I know about it more than you stupid cunt will ever know.

I used those apps because they have a lot of power user things nobody else has.

"free" alternatives are not created for apple and work only on linux.
those free alternatives in rare cases that they support apple never properly tested on it.

they cucked far more than that. Every update has lots of small things that they remove or break. And the bugs they create they do not fix until next update.
And you are absolutely forced to update every year. Because apple removes essential apps for older versions of os or makes it impossible to install.

it is more cucked than windows. And yet some stupid peace of shit falls for their marketing every year and write idiotic pasta here

for you a browser and steam client is all you need.
but stop advocating for apple then.

it had a lot of functionality for working with partitions. I do not remember all of it.
It has been a while.

resizing a partition probably, clone and restore partitions including windows ones.
maybe working with ntfs and other popular file systems (yes on mac it is a struggle to do so. In fact there are payed fs drivers out there :D 20$ a pop :D)

Today it is even worse than it was because of stupid apfs file system that replaced hfs+

Nah this guys right, he had to use paid apps and update as soon as Tim Apple said so. Downloading apps for free directly from the developer and turning off auto-updates require an iq above freezing.
I’m sure it would blow his mind that I’m running an htpc on macOS 12, my media server on 10.15, and I still use a blackbook on occasion for basic surfing that’s on 10.8.

That what I was doing.
I moved back to mojave as the last mac I liked and lived like that for years.

but mac os is not perfect it breaks regularly. This is why software like disk warrior exists.

and you won't be able to install some of the apps you really need like xcode or apple devtools for example.

and there is no way to install it. You won't be able to torrent it or anything else. You will be fucked.

The only valid reason to buy a Mac is that you really want to run macOS. Otherwise, you're paying a premium on a non-expandable machine for no reason.
