Jews who invented communism and coopted capitalism intended humanity to reach this tipping point. Where the people (goyim) would experience multiple crises in a short period of time. They would get so demoralized, indebted and diseased that they would only accept the globalized antidote to the old system - total and complete enslavement. Only then when the goyim (amalek/azov) is destroyed is when their messiah will return. This is what they really believe. The same people who spread atheism, science and logic as an antidote to antiquated dogma, submit to this religion deep down inside.

Not everything :)
* Hyprland/Wayland fixed a lot of their shit and not stuff like Unreal Engine just werks (where it used to be unusable before)
* Linux in general is super robust, before you HAD to use Windows for a whole lot of specialized shit like gayman and CG. Now you don't even have to bother with dual booting
* ARM Macbooks are dream laptops with crazy battery life. You can now easily work on the go and don't have to be stuck in the same 4 walls
* ChatGPT allows you to learn the basics of new fields (like GPU computing for example) really fast
* Microcontrollers and components to them are really cheap and affordable nowadays, it's completely realistic to learn how to and assemble a DIY drone on your own, strap a camera to it and start teaching it object recognition
* Indie and hacker culture is booming while the corporate world eats itself with a thick layer of AI slop
Life is good and the future of tech is exciting. Without challenges it would be no fun.

i've taken the time to study the current situation and really there's countless reasons for why shit sucks so much, and even if you boil them down to just the main issues, it'd still take several hours to explain all of it. ultimately it's all just very boring and simple cause and effect, but it's so multifaceted that the average person instinctively thinks "wow this is gay, what if i blamed the jews or something?" because thinking is hard and gay but simple emotions like hatred are easy and cool

i'll just throw in some keywords so you can ask chatgpt how they might be affecting the current situation, and how they might affect one another.

asset inflation
population pyramid
gerontocracy
world reserve currency
lack of gold standard
outsourcing
rent seeking
capital owners controlling the economy, rather than workers who produce things
offshoring wealth
end of a debt cycle
stock market gambling & speculation
political instability due to national troll farms
gilded age, deregulation, lessons forgotten due to lack of living memory

note that these things are what make western economies worse. some aspects like offshoring and outsourcing are typically enriching places other than the western world

The funny thing is "cronyism" is the system becoming less capitalist, more socialist, less free. So, closer to communism, further from capitalism. It means mounting layers of bureaucracy, red tape, regulation, slowing everything down and enshittifying it. The real dichotomy is monarchism vs bureaucratism. During a company's early growth/success phase it is a monarchy. It has a central founder/CEO driving everything under his vision and setting up an effective hierarchy. It works, efficiently, streamlined, productive. After the founder leaves a bureaucracy takes over. Collectively they have no vision or desire for efficiency, just control. They will manage the thing into the dirt slowly and over time. Same thing with governments.

The reason why they looooooove to cry about "dictators", kings, fascists, is because that really is the other side of the coin. Capitalism/communism is a false dichotomy. We are in a contant spiritual war of bureaucratic collectivists vs monarchical hierarchical individualists. The creators and the managers.

I'm pretty sure that majority-company-share CEOs like Zuckerberg and Musk are already doing that on their own, and that the enshittification has less to do with up-top bureaucracy but more with simple profit motives and growth obsession and the possibility to lobby governments

This is straight up precisely what bureaucrats do. They didn't found the original thing. They didn't create it. It isn't their lovechild or their legacy or life's work. It's just a job. A place to reap profit and income. And so they do this, obsession with the "financials" and control. Founders just want things to work and grow.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that any system can work if the people are sufficiently free and enfranchised. Communism, capitalism, whatever -- as long as the people aren't permanent underlings to a powered elite, anything can likely work. Crony capitalism comes about because the people get caught sleeping for a generation or two and wake up to a reality in which money, politics, and media are intertwined to the point where money owns media, which looks the other way as money buys politics; politics then obediently waits its turn (or, lately, maybe not!) to become moneyed... and then uses the highly domain specific knowledge and connections to perpetuate the cycle.

The common denominator here is just power. It might seem like it's money, but that's because money is the current best implementation of power. Once it was church, aristocracy, etc., and for a brief time it was suffrage; now it's money. The power is supposed to be ours, but now it belongs to money.

But thanks to McCarthyism, now even milquetoast criticism of how things are set up its politically verboten -- both parties, despite their differences, even now will agree: if you think crony capitalism sucks, That's Heckin Communism.

yeah and growth is the main goal for basically any start-up or company because the alternative is stagnating or getting out-competed to death or being acquired, simply making a company that delivers a stable product or service is not an option when you have competitors at your throat or some douchebag in Silicon Valley inventing something that disrupts the entire market in the same way that streaming disrupted the stable TV industry, because that's what a free market is all about

growth obsession and (d)evolution into crony capitalism is not a bug, it's a feature, and I don't know why you guys are pretending it's not built into the system

In order for it to be mandated, or built in, as you say, that would require government mandate or structure, which obviously isn't a free market. This breeds excessive cronyism and bureaucratic build up because there is no longer any competition. Look at some of the most highly regulated industries, things like healthcare and utilities. Only a few amount of power holders allowed to exist, no challengers allowed. Extremely bureaucratic and enshittified.

Things are getting worse because tech is going the same way. We are past the growth stage, where brilliant men built brilliant companies in a free environment and competed tooth and nail to win and deliver it. We are now post growth, corporations become bloated and bureaucratic, regulations being to seep in and entrench power holders. You are going to have a really hard time reconcilining your belief in "capitalism" doing this with the reality that it's more like socialism. Overly regulatory, chained up, hyper bureaucratic, unfree.

I think it's a bug, personally. I see it as emergent behavior stemming more from precedential deference in the courts and elite capture traceable all the way back to 19th century labor disputes. What we have now is emergent behavior stemming from technical debt incurred a long time ago from buggy behavior introduced by nepo "diversity hires." The underlying code base is sufficiently rigorous to form the base of a new, modernized refactoring (in Lisp, of course). We just need to gather our balls and toss out a bunch of spaghetti code implemented by the CEO's drunk sons.

yeah no shit there's always going to be a national government, we're not talking about some pipedream ancap "state"

what's the point of arguing of "actually crony capitalism is not a feature, it'd be Good Capitalism if the state was actually even more laissez-faire" when the latter is never going to happen without the state turning into a stomping ground for multinationals and never going to have an answer to monopolization anyways without some external totally-not-a-government-stand-in force keeping everything in check

crony capitalism is not a bug, it's a feature, it always has been and always will be when an individual is allowed enough resources and soft power to rival the state, which is why you have the CCP regularly extrajudicially cutting its own billionaires down to size

>the power is supposed to be ours
It will never be "ours" because there's no "ours", no matter what system we're under some of the absolute power sprinkles down to appease the lower castes. This is just how humans work and it will NEVER change. Forget about what "system" we're under, the fundamentals stay the same.

We are hierarchical monkeys who want to access resources whilst doing the least amount of work possible to do so. That means we setup power structures that exploit human labor because human labor is required for the things we want. If you're middle class or above in today's world you are exploiting human labor, specially if you live in the first world. Your consumption or labor far exceeds your labor input.

You can actually have more limited forms of government/society. You are just mindbroken by the current preponderence of democratic-republics which resemble socialism more than anything else. It's counterintuitive but, as I hinted at before, many incarnations of monarchy and alternative forms of republic have been far more economically free.

The desire for gross amounts of control, regulation, law, is feminine. It happened because we let women vote. Then the dam broke. Men by and large want to be left alone to conduct their business, women want endless rules to provide security and guarantees, this is why we can't have nice things.

it's not mindbroken to acknowledge that a retvrn to monarchy or a republic voluntarily turning itself into some ancap experiment or states being replaced by a McDonalds-Volkswagen-Google Economic Zone is simply never going to happen in the foreseeable future, because any of those lack Heaven's Mandate and the legitimacy to rule in the eyes of the people

I keep seeing this exact cope amongst people raised with a love for capitalism, who when faced with the results that its inherent growth obsession mindset leads to then try to justify it as "not capitalism, but crony capitalism and bloated bureaucracy", in the same way that a schizo invents a separate personality to avoid taking responsibility for his own mistakes

"actually there should just be a power vacuum at all times for everyone to be free to do their own thing, and that vacuum is never going to be filled because uhhhhhh" is simply not a serious ideology

You are witnessing the rapid decline of trust in democratic-republican systems worldwide, right this very moment, and are acting like they're permanent installations for the foreseeable future? No government that conspires against its own citizens has a mandate to do anything, they're going to topple faster than you think.

I've never advocated for a power vacuum at all, just traditional and realistic power systems that don't create a massive elite/managerial/bureaucratic class that want power for power's sake, not to achieve great things. I think you do a little too much projection of your own lazy, sick worldview, some of us actually DO relish in great things.

IP law. It allows companies to provide worse products and sell more of them, especially in spaces where compatibility with additional products could be considered important.
Each aspect of IP law is almost childishly naive and does the exact opposite of its stated purpose (though considering that the stated purpose usually just covers up an origin point of state censorship and corruption, I guess the apple didn't fall that far from the tree).

Funny you bring up communism since the phrase "it works in theory but..." also applies to capitalism

capitalism is good when it has socialist players working to keep anyone from becoming too powerful. america spent decades brainwashing their public to believe the economic left is the devil who wants to take all their money. now you have the strongest economy on the planet being controlled almost entirely by the economic right and a few larpers maintaining the illusion of regulation.

it's more like:
>stop wasting public funds to subsidize rich sociopaths who didn't earn it and actively hold normal people in contempt
>instead use them to improve healthcare, infrastructure, education, and quality of life for everyone
the mental gymnastics and silly excuses it takes to deny this simple and obvious reality of how our funds are being misappropriated by evil selfish idiots who would rather billions starve than ever consider that maybe their grifted, unearned wealth would be better off improving life for their own species than buying a gold plated space yacht or fucking whatever stupid shit these morons waste resources on

Imbecile CEOs aren't capable of improving a thing to make more money, so they invest in marketing to make consumers more retarded instead, or lower the entry wall to their products by making them dumber, more addictive, or infantile in general
