I've been a windows chad for a while now and decided to finally give troonix a try, fedora with kde is pretty nice, last time i used mint with cinnamon and it was complete dogshit, random shit wouldnt work and changing settings with the gui wouldnt actually apply them.

kde seems pretty bloated but atleast everything works

It's just habit. Most would be perfectly happy on Linux. It might even be better for you.

Only the most bloated DE is functional, if you think otherwise you haven't use Linux long enough.

Everyone's usecase is unique, the only ways to make a piece of software that works for everyone are

LTSC is an extremely stripped down version of Windows for appliances, and it's not any less bloated than a full Plasma setup.
