What's you're honest opinion on GrapheneOS?

I like it. No bells or whistles, continuous security updates, chromium can run mobiles sites like an app so I can still use uber.
The only downside is if you need to use google play store apps for any reason. My tablet eieks fine for those.
>>105629798 (OP)Pros: More secure. CalyxOS is better imo because it uses microg. Better battery life because google isn't sending your daily orgasm count home every 5 minutes.
Cons: Not all apps work on it. Not all phone features work like face unlock on my pixel 7 or android auto. Need a second phone for banking apps.
I enjoy using it. It can really give you a dumb phone feel without the social stigmas of using a flip phone. The fact that it also includes a frugal app store is nice because I don't even have to install F-Droid anymore for the few additional apps I need.
The privacy features are nice too because I strongly dislike Google's telemetry.
Biggest drawback is that the native messaging app still only supports SMS. I don't know if it's even possible, but I would love to see RCS implemented somehow since my normie friends don't feel like downloading Signal.
>>105630631Wait, so playstore apps don't work on it? I should stay away from it if I use banking apps?
>>105630780>playstore apps don't work on it99.99% of them do
>should stay away from it if I use banking apps? It's the only secure Android OS. So it's the only one where using banking apps actually makes sense.
But there are a handful of banks which are not designed securely and they refuse to run without some Google's bullshit.
>>105630694I've dug into the rcs rabbit hole at some point and there's technically nothing that should stop it from working on grahpene, except google breaking it on purpose ;)
>>105630148The grapheneOS schizo LOVES feds and he considers it a security vulnerability if your bootloader isn't looked with keys that feds have access to.
It is like trusting the NSA with your security.
