A private tracker is a torrent website run by a cabal that wants you to dox yourself for access. They attempt to take credit for other people's work, keep data locked away within their faggy little club and shill themselves all over the internet (so much for being "private" huh?). The torrent protocol by its nature can never be truly private and there is nothing they can do to prevent you from leeching from their swarms.

Some common private tracker myths.

>1) Private trackers are safer than public trackers
Myth. Nothing prevents law enforcement or RIAA mafia from signing up. The "interview process" is doxing yourself to someone living in their mother's basement. They are not 1337 haxxor men that are doing due diligence to prevent bad actors from signing up. Anyone can connect to these private swarms and harvest a list of IP addresses connected to them.

Myth. 99% of content on private trackers is directly from topsites, USENET, IRC and the same places every other p2p service gets their content from. The few unique uploads are private trackers are typically improperly ripped copies of disc content. Since no one with actual skill would opt to release on a private tracker instead of using their upload as credit to get into the scene.

3) Private trackers encourage seeding
False. Most seeds on private trackers are dedicated seed boxes run by the cabal. The average user of them doesn't even get a chance to build ratio. Public torrents and trackers are typically well seeded and all you have to do is simply connect to swarm and wait to get the data 9 times out of 10. Or worse case request a re-seed. The content with 0 seeds is always available elsewhere. Typically on XDCC bots or USENET.

Myth. The fastest way to leech content is usually from USENET or XDCC bots. Which have as fast or faster upload speeds than seedboxes connected to torrents. Their entire upstream bandwidth is dedicated to (you) while you're leeching or at worse it's split between only a handful of users at any one time instead of being whored out to multiple swarms with multiple leechers.

since it is very hard today to get into BTN, even if you are really good standing user/uploader with account older then 5 years at the top trackers, can someone tell if MTV is still good tracker as alternative to BTN and do they have tv-series in UHD quality?

Like advance leaks of movies, rips of disc content, cracked vidya and anything else you can think of. If you are part of this exclusive group and upload one piece of original content you get access to ultra fast topsites that have archives of content going back to the 1980s. They actively discourage use of real names, encourage use of proxies and work very hard to hide their real identities. They do not advertise their activity outside of their own groups. Multiple groups race each other to be the first to release content. Content is verified by the community to be of high quality or it's nuked. Anyone would want access to this and shitters have been attempting to get in since the late 80s. They have dedicated members to spread the content for free to a variety of platforms and wrote tons of software for that purpose. INCLUDING the torrent protocol.

On the other hand you have a bunch of faggots that spam this board everyday begging people to join their "private" community. A start-up guide and links to the best indexes crawling these sources among others. I will also go into more detail about how it's impossible to "secure" the torrent protocol and the history of it. Like how it was created in the first place to take the burden of moving files around off the people that used to occupy that job within the scene. Thus making their position a bit obsolete and forcing them to do other jobs within the scene that are more useful (like ripping content and cracking software).

If and I stress IF there is any piece of data on one of these trackers that isn't already released by the scene it's the duty of any anon with access to it to share it far and wide and expose the faggots that were attempting to hoard it. the private flag prevents this from happening. but also, as long as you disable dht you won't advertise on the swarm which is all that matters for your privacy.

There are a few P2P groups with higher quality standards than the scene, so most most new scene content gets trumped on private trackers (except the 0day ones)
