For real though, I've just had a better experience with MPC-HC than VLC. I remember VLC having this weird ass issue where low-quality videos would turn into a garbled mess when seeking through it. I didn't find a fix for it. MPC-HC doesn't have this problem so I use it instead of VLC. I also like the UI better.

Oh god, that one free software faggot insisting on using his shitty VLC at every social event DESPITE us even downloading MPC-HC for him.
Making excuses and insisting on how VLC is PERFECTLY capable of formatting and repositioning subs, but trying to figure out and STRUGGLING every time until we force him to use MPC. That's on top of constant issues with inconsistent playback of different filetypes, audio issues and shitty janky UI making dual screen usage horrendous.

Worst part is, 15 years ago I was him, a VLC believer. At least I got over it quickly.

I like vlc on android but I gave it up for musicolet. its simply a superior vlc, mpv on android is a joke and even die hard mpv anons admitted vlc is better than it.
