If it stops copying at some point use the freezer trick. I was afraid to take the HDD out so I just cooled the laptop itself with bags of frozen veggies. That was my last HDD.

Bad is when "worst" is lower than "threshold".
But in real use any non-zero number of reallocations means the drive should be immediately disposed of, the rest does not matter.

>>105643696
Retard.
It's not even seagate with its offser/compression of raw values. Everything is plainly listed and clearly named here.

Surely you have redundancy left in your ZFS array? Just replace the disk and let it resilver, no biggie.

reallocated sectros is at 133 out of 140
it's a countdown that starts at 200 and decreases with every unspecified amount of actual lost sectors
manufacturers consider some unspecified amount of dead sectors "fine enough" and only throw warnings at sub-140

Was in active use at some point, now my redundancy-not-backup drive. Another one is 306/52684 with no issues.
At this point I imagine it might be safer to just keep these than buy an identical new one, heard WD's quality has gone to shit.

those samsung drives were beasts, I remember 120gb PATA one tried click of death on me once, but after few tries decided not to.
Currently oldest drive in use in my current system is WD Green 1TB with 52500+ hours, it is quite and cold too. Good for cold storage.
