Will we ever get a new technology in our life time? Something equivalent to refrigeration, telecommunications, audio/video capturing or accelerated transport?

Feels like a hundred years since any life-changing advancements have been discovered. Maybe next it could be teleporting rendering previous methods of travel redundant. Some kind of perpetual energy module that makes power cheap and efficient

Haven't you notice Ai yet ?

Also, analog neuroprocessors like MYTHIC are on the rise, nVidia will shot its panties very soon if they wont buy the company.
These are all disruptive technologies.

Also, we already have limitless power tech.
Big corp is preventing it from emerging intp the markets for obvious reason

Someone in the 1950s wouldn't have heard about the transistor until much later I think.
Obviously airplanes got more attention from the start, but time-changing tech can be developped now that won't become apparent until much later.
Imo one such case is all the science surrounding lasers, plasmas and quantum communications.
In particular, magnetic control over plasma could allow for a Sun landing some day.
Control over lasers could allow for nuclear fusion which would be used to create various materials.
Quantum comms allow instant sending of information through black magic, which would change military strategy surrounding electronic warfare.
I do not work in any of these 3 fields btw I just like to read.

it works only at room temperature
>The teamโ€™s next objective is to determine if the DC current can be stored in a capacitor for later use
nevermind it actually never worked yet

Probably already have, but it's still in development. There's a ton of work and cost from invention to widespread deployment.

>analog neuroprocessors
I prefer digital ones. Analog's too susceptible to manufacturing variation for my taste.
