What tech ideas did you come up with, only to see someone else implement it before you?

didnt invent any of the technology but i was ahead of the curve on a few trends that i couldve gotten rich off of had i stuck with them on a long-term basis and invested time into building something.

that was extremely early for an airpods idea, impressive honestly.

do you mean like being an early adopter?
I sold bitcoin at $700, still kicking myself for that. Fortunately it wasn't that much, but still.

crypto sure, was around in tech circles when it was being discussed at low prices. when you could mine dogecoin before people even knew about it.
then sms marketing, it became the superior email marketing alternative for customer appointments and shit. i was a fast adopter/learner before any business used it.
and then the LLM stuff, i was using the OpenAI API's years before they blew up for the stupidest shit like being a bot for my chuds pals in a chatroom.
if i had taken those technologies more seriously at the time, maybe made some projects around them. become a "brand" in any of them, all of them wouldve paid off well.
you need the discipline to see one thing through and believe in it.
