Between the ugly UI redesign and this it's safe to say that Apple has officially gone full jeet. Previously jeets were doing menial tasks under the leadership of whites and jews, but these changes show that jeets have climbed Apple's corporate ladder and are shitting up things in the same way the did with Google and Microsoft.

I know nothing about CPU design but isn't it insanely complex mazes of boolean gates? Last time I tried to get an LLM to help me with spanning tree it fucked that up bad.

LLMs can produced code in many programming languages, I don't see why they couldn't write VHDL or Verilog.

Pure lies to deceive consumers and investors. Automated design libraries have been standardized since 2012. It isn't AI when you click a button and your billion dollar software populates transistors in a block so you don't have to hand lay them. None of you fag retards reading this even know what this means.

I was a hater and really underestimating the coding capabilities of current AI, but now I can have pretty much whatever I want written even as a total sw dipshit just by giving a clear and logical prompt.

CPU design has been using "AI" for years. At this time CPU design looks more like writing C than connecting gates, and the compiler does most of the heavy lifting, to the point where the humans sometimes don't even know what kind of circuits their code will produce
Unless the plan here is making LLMs write the Verilog code that will be compiled into a CPU. That sounds like a disaster

I'm surprised they aren't already using some form of AI. As an example, when you layout the physical design of transistors, you want to pack as many units as tightly as possible, while also minimizing interconnect distance and managing hot spots. This is exactly the thing I would expect a heuristic optimizer to be better than humans at. I think Google had paper about this a few years ago involving the layout of their TPUs.

There's no training data. In software you have six gorillion lines of easily scrapeable code to implement every algorithm a computer scientist has ever come up with. In hardware even the algorithms are secret, or only documented in incomprehensible patents.

man i'm already on the edge of cracking open an old one because people keep ignoring that mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell despite purple being real and fear being the way home, and you're telling me those clowny nerds who think runes carved into rock powered by lightning works because of the "standard model" are now letting the rock hallucinate new runes?

the magical realm is obviously hastur's babbling stream of eternal kidney failure while pissing yourself, do you people not listen to your bodies?

Nvidia has been using AI to optimize transistor layout for awhile now. This is nothing special.
