Sage isn't a node, it's it's own library or whatever you call it. You pip install it then add the sage flag at run time. Not sure if you can just substitute the current sage with the new one without comfy adding support, guess we'll see soon

with the settings properly dialed in you can get rid of it to some extend. flux guidance too high is the main culprit. flux is just extremely finicky - one wrong word in the prompt and the course is set towards plasticland. maybe something went wrong with the process when they distilled it.

There's no existing AI model or technique that could make all those tiny houses with consistent architecture, windows all the same size, all aligned with streets, all period accurate and with tiny details like washing lines. There might not ever be. Maybe you could get 90% of the way there, but there'd always be the occasional wacko MC Escher house and no matter how much you inpainted, you'd never get them all quite right, especially not those houses in the middle distance that are only made of a few pixels each anyway.

With Wan you HAVE to either train a lora or use a controlnet of sorts. Its prompt alignment is horrible especially for camera control

what exactly is causing lightx2v + NAG to lose details? im experimenting with using 2-3 cfg and turning the lora down to 0.5, it takes twice as long to gen but the lack of detail is the same. it has a fake looking lighting and skin turns into smooth clay. with native wan it keeps the details of the starting photo and doesnt mess with the lighting much

I know. That's why I will wait until I put together a new computer. A shame I didn't get into this earlier as it hasn't even been a year since I built this one, but I guess that's just how things go.

I know I said that those speed loras are shit in previous thread with phantom and using other loras. But actually I've had some sleep and have been determined to get them working because the speed boost is nice. And what I found is that you actually really need to increase lora strength and then they work.

Only a LoRA can really knock it out and multi-resolution images in your data set also helps a lot with that (1024+ is too "crisp" on it own, so you need to rough it up a bit with lower res images).

Nah. People hate plastic skin and rightfully so because the model does it even without asking for it. Almost as if BFL decided to censor it specifically with this. With plastic skin there are many other bad aespects to a gen. Did you ask for the bokeh? Did you ask for her feet or nearby objects to be blurred? That kind of thing. Etc... So plastic skin comes with other issues as well, and they hurt aesthetics. If Flux had the capacity to render actual photoreal skin, they would be okay with CGI renders.

Flux isn't alone in rendering plastic skin. Every API model does the same thing to an extent, even ones that boast of solving it like Imagen. AI companies mostly don't seem to have a clue on how mitigate the issue. Or rather, they'd rather censor their model than have it produce photoreal skin. It wasn't until Chroma came around that we started to be freed from the curse. And no, these plastic gens are just barely aesthetic compared to what a photoreal non slopped output looks like.

A lot of old things get open sourced once the value of open sourcing it goes over not doing so. You get free publicity, free good will from the community, many times there can also be an internal company push from some engineers that worked on it for it to be released so those who are passionate about what they've build can showcase better to others what they created and have it improved further, continuing to live on, so the company has to listen or wants to placate those engineers etc.

They probably won't do that with DALL-E 3 too soon but there is little reason not to ever.

It is hard to diagnose inpainting issues just from a description like that. Take a screenshot of your inpainting tab and maybe someone who uses forge will be able to offer you some advice.

Did you check the page you downloaded it from for the recommend settings? 9/10 the reason for a bad gen these days unless using a crap SD 1.5 model, is not using the correct settings for the model you are using. And yes they all different from each other, some require euler a, with karras, others need dpm++2m aka dpmpp_2m and etc.

FP16 is literally double the size of Q8. That's a huge chunk of data missing. Also, it's not always about a difference in quality but motion/prompt adherence too. FP16 simply has more data. I can't believe there is very little good advice for this. I have 12GB vram, 16GB system on a budget board, i use virtual memory on a slightly faster than standard HDD. I use the native workflow for wan, the only thing I need to do to prevent most oom is to launch comfy with 2 memory options.

All it does is signals to comfy that instead of having 12GB in my case, I actually have only 11GB. In other words load up until 11GB and reserve 1GB for other processes. Such as browser tabs open, and also the previews that get generated in sampler nodes etc.

If you don't do this you will oom right away if the even if its using your system ram because it has taken up all the vram. Do you understand this? I can gen about 145 frames using Q8 @ 832 x 480 and I think I can gen about 121 max at 720 x 720 and it does it fast with some speed loras that I'm still testing (almost got them sus'd)

The KJ wrapper nodes and any other memory solution just lags my machine and is really slow, perhaps because I don't have much real physical RAM.

low budget, the cpu and mobo etc was bought second hand, the card was what i had left over about £265 I think, reduced price at the time, I thought, nice I'll take it since I'd been genning with an older cpu and a 4GB vram card.

Good purchases desu, I've had a lot of fun with this system, it runs any game with ease. but more importantly I'm actually thinking about using ai to much some cash.
