The closest I ever got to soldering something was attaching a power cord from a 110 volt outlet to a steel wire coat hanger in order to spot weld something. Turns out that is a better way to trip a circuit breaker than it is to join two pieces of metal.

That thread is more for >>>/diy/ but I'm converting a model train to DCC so I had to solder things inside.

What scale is? Also, we have incredible soldererers here on /g/, but they mostly hang out in the mechanical keyboard general.

It's HO, plenty of room inside, nothing complicated but it's my first time I upgrade a model to put a decoder inside. Do you practice the hobby too? Scale?

Not yet but I got a semi functional Nord Piano I'm probably going to need to replace some components on, so sometime soon I'll be doing that I guess. Probably need some more practice first though, I'm not great at soldering cause I don't do it often enough.
