What if you use the Auto Tab Discard extension for Firefox?

This is the cost of letting Rusttrannys into your codebase.

Safari is probably even more efficient. It's the only reason I use it on macOS. Usability wise, it's pretty bad.

Don't care, still not using anything based on the Chromium engine. I don't want a browser engine monopoly.

I don't use Firefox on my phone despite it supporting addons because it consumes twice as much battery while being twice as slow
I hope with AI coding getting better we see a better competition to Blink than Gecko

The only embarrassment is that you don't have anything better to do than complaining what software someone else uses

The JS engine used in Firefox is pretty inefficient, but if this is comparing the defaults I think LibreWolf would actually be really good. Same with Brave. According to a lot of benchmarks blocking ads saves a ton of battery life, so any browser with a pre-installed adblocker is automatically going to be top tier.

Yes, but it doesn't matter anymore. The devs abandoned it and are now developing an "AI browser".

The only AI browser we need is one that just outright generates every page you visit with AI.
I want to surf an internet that doesn't exist. I want to explore parallel universes in my web browser. Some slightly different than our own. Some utterly bizarre. I want to open alt-reality news sites, then check not-Twitter and read live reactions to events that aren't happening. I want to hear about alien invasions, dogs discovering the cure to cancer, and does is giraffe ubuntu clock?
Someone get on this shit already.

Who gives a shit about battery life? Are you in a power outage?
I use a desktop plugged into a UPS with a house generator, and sometimes a laptop in the living room with the brick plugged in behind the recliner.
