I am a citizen of europe and I can easily use WeChat, Baidu app, create a World ID with Altman's orb etc. All these things do not conform with GDPR, so they are actually illegal. Yet, nobody cares. So what is the point of this stupid GDPR? Isn't it supposed to protect european citizens, just like in China the Golden Shield is protecting their citizens? I don't understand what the point of the GDPR is, since nobody has to follow it??

I'm slandering this stupid law, because the weak EU is unable to enforce it. It's just nice words and that's all. I can use WeChat and scan my iris with Altman's orb in my country. Where is the GDPR? It's just words on paper.

There must be a good explanation for this. If the apps don't respect GDPR the appstores are not allowed to sell then in EU

gdpr is fine, the problem is the higher ups of the comission and the national data protection agencies not wanting to apply properly
this happened with the cookie banners with no button to reject them and now is happening with the acept or pay, both are obviously illegal but they are dilating as much as possible this shit
example https://noyb.eu/en/years-inactivity-pay-or-ok-cases-noyb-sues-german-dpas
and if they were such pushovers there wont be a cookie banner, non essential cookies would be just banned.

At least they're able to enforce it domestically. You can ask European companies for your data. You can tell them to delete it. It's pretty neat.
