People are sleeping hard on the Chinese space program. Compared to SpaceX/Elon Musk that has dozens of youtube channels and thousands of videos covering every tiny detail of Starship's development process, barely anyone knows much about the current state of the Chinese space program and it's major players.Lots of people don't even know that China has a space station, or that they have more than a dozen reusable rockets almost about to have their maiden launch.

China is catching up quick, they will likely exceed SpaceX's rate launch and payload to LEO by the end of the decade. Also the 2nd race to the Moon is heating up, with 50/50 odds of either America or China getting first, when it was considered a guarantee that America would be landing there first by 2027 just a few years ago

The LM9 only started active development in 2015. And it got changed to Starship clone during 2019, so it's taking a while
