Tech to be more eco?
No bs boomer "natural lifestyle cope", placebos, please. Only technolo/g/y that will actually do something positive for climate.

I disabled cpu boost, and I take gpu out whenever I do not plan to do anything intense.
I consider buying new "low-power" stuff as a cope - they need to be produced, transported and that is net worth worse, than just using your current working stuff.

I thought about small aliexpress solar panels as a supplementary power for phones/ap, but I have hard time telling if these actually also aren't net loss.
Maybe reusing old fans would be better. I live high enough to have small gusts of wind almost whole year.

Programmable thermostat. Does not (and shouldn't) have to be a "smart" IoT thermoSHIT, just a regular one you can program to turn the A/C up when you're out. Ideally with an "alternate program" or vacation mode for when you're out of town.

nothing you personally do could make any reasonable change on anything relating to climate

The point is hoping that at least some will follow the suit.

Yeah, mutts keep blaming indians and Chinese for pollution, but 1 mutt pollutes as much as 4-8 indians. It's just that there's less mutts and they're more distributed that you do not see the effects.

The change needs to start, here in the west.

Boomer cope is moving to the "countryside".
>You need to build a new house - co2 waste
>More commute - co2
>You suddenly share less resources - co2
etc etc.
Yeah it makes them feel "green", but ultimately it is green-washed coonsum.

Thanks. Nothing cleans the pores like a bit of mustard gas.
