>EULA says you won't try to load unauthorized software or hardware
>gets surprised when you get serial banned from online services
>your switch 2 is basically a brick now
>instead of returning bricked switch 2 to retailer within the 30 day return window, you buy a second switch 2

These retards are going to be doing the same shit with motherboards and GPUs in the near future when anticheats start using TPMs and hardware attestation to ban you for running modified (rooted) operating systems.
Imagine having to watch out for your used PC hardware being serial banned from live service games, people like this are why it will work and they'll slurp it up gladly.

It was common sense back in the day to not connect to official servers with hacked shit, seems these retards forgot about that. I remember psn account being banned just for having cfw on it and people had to figure out a workaround.

ever since the original xbox they banned your console for going online with modchip or hacks. the people who cheated in halo 2 on xbox had their ban transfer over to pc as well.

it would be funny if people kept returning these when they bricked so nintendo would have to deal with thousands of rma's all because they are assholes.

If the EULA says you're gay, do you bend over and take it up the ass?
Stop being such a corporate cuck.

JIDF is out in full force if anyone tries to justify a company destroying my product that I own permanently. Banned from a service? Sure.

Here's the problem, what if all Audi had to do to brick your car was refuse connections to its servers from any car with it's unique identifier, because the car was programmed to refuse to drive if it didn't get maintained and maintenance was programmed to include getting regular satnav updates?
Because so many switch games don't even exist in a playable state when you buy the freaking box. Either there's no cartridge at all, there is a cartridge but you need to download a patch because of some game breaking bugs, or you get the worst of both worlds and there is a cartridge but it just contains the license key.
And I don't think you can get software onto a switch any way but the nintendo store.

True. I didn't even think about that because I'm so used to physical media for consoles as a concept. Your analogy is even more grim for consumers.

I'm noticing that encryption doesn't make my data secure, in fact my data is like a whore beind handed in circles to any company that wants it, it even gets leaked every 2 weeks because of "le haxors", but enables companies to make my life miserable in case I want to mess around with the technology that I paid for.
