about higher quality per filesize I'm dubious on this one because at bitrate higher than 1mbps it falls down hard in perceived quality
only hardware encoder I know of are on nvidia gpus so it's a pain in the ass while encoding h265 is 100x faster
i'm already pissed having to use vp9 on 4chinks since that garbage is just as slow to encode as av1

is there some tool i can feed a source video to, which after analyzing whatever in the source video spits out a string of numbers and letters i can copy and paste and have svt-av1 (or another av1 codec) create a near flawless or flawless av1 encode of the source?
i cannot be the first idiot to have asked for this so the chances should be extremely slim what bigbrains haven't come up with some tool doing exactly this already.
