If it's erroring out when you get to the install part, you probably need to do pacman -S archlinux-keyring before running archinstall. It's absolutely retarded that it doesn't check for it automatically, and I've wasted more time getting archinstall fixed than if I had just installed it manually.
That being said, install Debian.

Just update your mirror list during install and you'll never have problems again

The only hard part is dual booting because archinstall formats the entire drive, ignoring all existing partitions by default.
